Bridgewater Flooring —

Warranty & Protection Plan

Limited 1-Year Workmanship Warranty

Bridgewater Flooring provides a complimentary 1-year workmanship warranty from the date of installation completion, with

optional 3-year and 5-year Bridgewater Guarantee extensions available.

Covered Under Workmanship Warranty:

Bridgewater Flooring’s workmanship warranty covers material installation-related defects that directly result from installation error and materially affect the normal function or performance of the installed product. Covered workmanship issues may include:

• Material subfloor or substrate preparation defects that result in abnormal floor performance outside manufacturer or accepted industry tolerances.

• Significant product separation, displacement, lifting, or buckling directly resulting from installation workmanship and materially affecting normal product performance.
• Premature grout, caulk, adhesive, or waterproofing failure directly resulting from workmanship defects.
• Material workmanship-related defects determined by Bridgewater Flooring to directly result from installation error and materially affect product performance.

Normal product characteristics, minor movement, sound, flex, slight substrate variation, seasonal expansion or contraction, minor low spots, hollow sounds, or conditions falling within manufacturer or accepted industry tolerances are not considered workmanship defects.

If a covered workmanship defect is confirmed, Bridgewater Flooring will determine the appropriate remedy based on the condition, scope, repairability, product availability, and circumstances of the claim.

Warranty remedies may include inspection, repair, adjustment, partial replacement, or replacement of the affected area only, when deemed necessary by Bridgewater Flooring. Bridgewater Flooring reserves the right to attempt repair, adjustment, or corrective action prior to replacement.

Warranty repairs are intended to restore reasonable function and performance and may not result in an exact cosmetic match due to product age, wear, lighting conditions, dye lot variation, discontinued products, manufacturer changes, or material availability.

Coverage is limited to the affected area and original scope of work performed. Replacement of adjoining areas, full rooms, or entire installations is not guaranteed and will be determined solely by Bridgewater Flooring based on the condition, scope, and reasonable repairability of the issue.

Repairs or corrective work performed under this warranty do not extend, restart, or renew the original warranty period.

What Is Not Covered:

While Bridgewater Flooring stands firmly behind the quality of our workmanship, certain conditions, product characteristics, materials, and circumstances fall outside the scope of this workmanship warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Improper use, abuse, negligence, accidents, impact damage, misuse, lack of reasonable care, excessive wear, or failure to reasonably protect the installed product.

• Failure to follow manufacturer-recommended cleaning, care, humidity, temperature, environmental, or maintenance procedures.

• Normal product wear and aging, including scratches, dents, scuffs, fading, grout discoloration, sheen variation, minor settling, cosmetic wear, or normal changes associated with age and use.

• Minor movement, sound, flex, hollow sounds, slight substrate variation, seasonal expansion or contraction, minor low spots, slight lippage, or conditions that fall within manufacturer specifications, accepted industry tolerances, or normal product characteristics.

• Moisture intrusion, plumbing leaks, appliance leaks, flooding, standing water, excessive humidity, vapor transmission, pet accidents, or water-related damage not directly caused by installation workmanship.

• Structural movement, slab movement, foundation movement, framing movement, settling, substrate movement, cracking, or building-related movement outside Bridgewater Flooring’s reasonable control.

• Pre-existing substrate, slab, framing, leveling, moisture, structural, or jobsite conditions, including hidden, unknown, or pre-existing site conditions discovered before, during, or after installation.

• Product performance concerns related to manufacturing defects, material defects, product design, locking system issues, finish failure, delamination, manufacturer changes, product discontinuation, or other manufacturer-related issues.

• Environmental conditions outside manufacturer specifications, including excessive heat, cold, humidity, dryness, direct sunlight, UV exposure, temperature fluctuations, or rapid climate changes.

• Damage caused by other contractors, painters, cabinet installers, movers, furniture movement, appliances, pets, occupants, maintenance providers, or third parties.

• Unauthorized repairs, modifications, refinishing, coatings, alterations, disassembly, repair attempts, or corrective work performed by anyone other than Bridgewater Flooring.

• Cosmetic concerns, appearance variations, or minor conditions that do not materially affect the normal function or performance of the installed product.

• Exact matching of material, color, texture, sheen, dye lot, finish, or pattern is not guaranteed, particularly for discontinued, aged, sun-faded, unavailable, manufacturer-modified, or lot-variation materials. When exact replacement materials are unavailable, Bridgewater Flooring reserves the right to utilize the closest reasonably available material or provide an alternative repair solution at its sole discretion. Full-room, adjoining-area, or full-home replacement due solely to product discontinuation, availability limitations, or matching differences is not guaranteed.

• Acts of God, storms, fire, pests, natural disasters, utility failures, or unforeseen events beyond Bridgewater Flooring’s reasonable control.

Manufacturer Warranty

Each flooring, tile, and installation product supplied by Bridgewater Flooring carries its own manufacturer warranty, which may include coverage for manufacturing defects, finish wear, delamination, locking system performance, material defects, fading, staining, waterproof performance, or other product-specific claims depending on the manufacturer and product selected.

Manufacturer warranties vary by product, material, application, jobsite conditions, and intended use. Commercial installations, high-traffic areas, moisture exposure, environmental conditions, or misuse may affect manufacturer coverage eligibility.

Bridgewater Flooring does not manufacture flooring or tile products and is not responsible for product defects, manufacturing inconsistencies, locking system performance, finish wear, material failure, color variation, product discontinuation, warranty denials, or manufacturer claim determinations.

Bridgewater Flooring may assist, when reasonably appropriate, in coordinating manufacturer warranty claims when applicable; however, all manufacturer warranty approvals, denials, remedies, material availability, replacement products, and claim decisions are determined solely by the manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranty remedies may include repair, replacement, partial material replacement, prorated coverage, substitute materials, or denial of claim based on manufacturer guidelines.

Bridgewater Flooring makes no independent warranty beyond the manufacturer’s written warranty for product-related defects or failures.

Customers are encouraged to review their product’s specific manufacturer warranty documentation for complete terms, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and coverage limitations.
